Total Organic Carbon Analyzers - Thermo-FID

The electronic system of the FID allows several extra functions. The integrated CPU allows a menu-driven handling as well as a full automatic self-control and failure analysis of the system. On the alphanumeric display are shown several operation and service instructions in clear text which give an easy maintenance process. The process-controlled and dynamic amplifier analysis always within the optimum range. The amplified signals are digitised directly at the detector and get transmitted as digital data to the CPU for the analysis. Therefore there is no distortion of the little currents because of badly shielded or too long signal ways.

The analyzers offered by SK-Elektronik are adjusted to the specific process/plant requirements:

• Thermo-FID ES: is a TOC analyzer in a 19” rack, usually used together with extraction gas analyzers (having the same gas sampling path).
• Thermo-FID TG: is TOC analyzer similar to ES model, but in a table housing.
• Thermo-FID MK: completely mounted analyzer for the rough application in the field – suitable to be used directly on the flue gas duct or on the chimney. The gas sample is transported through 300-1500 mm long probe integrated with the instrument. A measuring head is attached directly without any filter or sampling gas conditioning to a DIN gauge connection. Functionally, it is very similar to in situ analyzers. Thanks to remote diagnosis all the necessary service works are reduced to minimum. The housing is also available in higher protection class (IP65) and in explosion protection version. Up to now, Pentol has delivered 5 Thermo-FID analyzers to 3 Polish cement plants (in two of them analyzers were mounted on the chimneys).
• Thermo-FID FE: completely mounted analyzer in a fildhousing for the rough application in the field. Especially for wall fastening or a panel construction within analytical chambers. Available also in higher protection class (IP65) and in explosion protection version.
• Thermo-FID PT: a completely mounted analyzer with a portable 2/3 19” rack. Available in 2 versions: PT63FH/LT and PT84FH/LT (the second one includes two steel cylinders with: hydrogen and propane in nitrogen).

The Thermo-FID is used in a variety of industrial applications, environmental measurement systems and R&D projects. Typical use of the Thermo-FID are LEL control, emission and imission monitoring (mandatory when alternative fuels are co-fired), process gas control and R&D projects of combustion engines. Moreover, they are used for optimization of technological processes and, ambient air analysis and work place control (MAK/TRK-limits).
